Some love Walmart for their convenience and low prices, while others loathe them for their history of poor employee benefits and their sheer monopoly in the retail market. The Walmart MoneyCard is one such service.

Walmart MoneyCard customer Cynthia, from Atlanta, Georgia says, “I like the card because I can use it like a regular credit card but with no big fees or late charges.” The Walmart card is not a credit card. However, because it is a Visa debit card it can be used in a similar way to a credit card. Cynthia says that she does not mind the monthly fee, “$3.00? That’s real low.” She says that her credit is poor and she relies on the Walmart MoneyCard to pay her rental car services “Before I got this card, I couldn’t even rent me a vehicle.”
